Jon,I'm sorry about your mom. She is a great scout leader and I had a lot of fun with you guys at camp, and other places. She will have a great place for her in heaven and God will take care of her.

Rodg and Boys, Thank You for spending your precious moments to update this site with all of us. We read it everyday. Our prayers are with all of you guys. Boys, your Mom is one of the most intelligent and self confident women we have ever met. Your Dad was lucky to have found her. Through reading the blog every day, I also know that she was lucky to have found him. Love always. Dan & Elaine Hayward and Family

Even though Kathy and I did not spend a lot of time together, I loved her spirit. We spent a couple of retreats at King's House together. I have been praying for her for a long time. May God bless you, Rodger and the boys as you go on without her. May you feel God's loving presence and care. I'm sure Kathy will take a very special spot in Heaven.

Jon - Thank you for letting us know about your mom. She is a great person. Remember most her smile and positive spirit as well as her perceptiveness and strength. I see that she has instilled these qualities in you as I see them in both you and your brother. That part of her will always be with you.
I lost my Dad about 2 years ago and I still miss him. It is okay to miss the people you have lost. But then I think what would my dad say... and then I have to chuckle as I can almost hear him speaking in his own distinctive way. Then I know that a part of him will always be with me just as a part of your mom will always be with you. And, know that your mom is in heaven watching over everything you do... so make her proud as always. She loves you both so very much.

Hi Jon and Alex,
I was so sad to hear about your mom. I know how proud she was of both of you and how much she cared about you. You were both very fortunate to have had such a wonderful mother. Her physical presence may be gone but her spirit will always be with you.

Jon, How kind of you to share your very sad news with all of us and how very brave. Your Mom would be so proud of you and your brother. We always knew that Kathy was a gift to this earth and knowing her and sharing in her spirit was truly a blessing. She was put here to do great things and she did! In her career, her faith and most of all in her family. It is very hard for you to see all of the beauty her passing has created but when you are older you will see the true meaning of the phrase "Gift from God" because that it what your Mother was. God Bless you and keep you all.You are in our Prayers
